FIELD: plastic metal working. SUBSTANCE: device for upsetting bulging on rod-shaped products includes parallel-crank actuating mechanism and drive. Parallel-crank actuating mechanism incorporates hinged rods, hinged thrusts and central rod carrying adjusting nut, slide block and spring. Adjusting nut is enabled to butt against slide block on its one side and spring is pressed against slide block on its other side. Spring counteracts impact of drive striker. Drive is of percussion type. Axis of stroke of drive striker is at right angles to upsetting line and intersects it in zone of formation of rod bulging. EFFECT: more sophisticated design. 3 cl, 6 dwg
