METHOD AND APPARATUS TO MAKE HEADING ON ROD-TYPE MATERIAL Russian patent published in 1997 - IPC

FIELD: metals mechanical shaping, heading formation in split dies in medical equipment in particular, that is in operations of osteosynthesis during curing of tubular bones fractures. SUBSTANCE: method to make headings on rod-type material provides for clamping of rod-type material in split dies and their mutual closing under action of shock force. In process of clamping rod bending along arc in zone of deformation is exercised. Following rod rectilinear restoration takes place in process of making of heading. In the case rod material bending angle and summed angle of split dies are in one plane, matched and are equal to each other. Apparatus to make heading on rod-type material has executive mechanism, that is kinematic link made of two flat multilink mechanisms. Links of mechanisms are made as two traverses, hinge rods and central rod. Hinge rods one side ends are hinged to traverses and other side ends - with cross head. Drive is made as drive of shock action type and is coaxially located on central rod. Derive striker run axis is passing through place of heading formation. EFFECT: improved design. 3 cl, 6 dwg
