FIELD: dispersion of fluid medium. SUBSTANCE: method involves dividing fluid medium flow into two flows; directing one flow into disperser chamber and other flow into acoustic vibration emitter mounted in chamber; joining both flows in chamber; providing passage of fluid medium through perforated bottom of chamber so that streams of fluid medium are formed, with subsequent fracturing of streams into drops; maintaining ratio of mass flow rate of medium fed to chamber and mass flow rate of medium supplied to emitter within the range of 1-20, fluid medium column hydrostatic head in chamber above emitter within the range of 0.3-5 m, ratio of full hydraulic head of flow directed into emitter to head of flow in chamber above perforated bottom within the range of 2-5 and ratio of equivalent hydraulic diameter of chamber to emitter linear size within the range of 1.5-15. When total summary of mass flow rate of both flows of medium must be changed in accordance with operational conditions, frequency of acoustic vibrations generated by emitter is to be changed, with ratio of frequency corresponding to minimum value of flow rate summary to frequency corresponding to maximum flow rate summary being within the range of 0.65-0.95.
