FIELD: chemical industry. SUBSTANCE: installation has a plasmotron and a plasma reactor making up a single assembly. The plasma reactor is of a rectangular cross-section with a hole in the upper part for feeding the raw material and on outlet hole in the lower part for fiber and plasma jet. The lower part of one of the plasma reactor walls is provided with an inclined platform. The fiber and plasma jet outlet hole is formed by the plasma reactor walls and the inclined platform. The raw material feed hole is made in the vertical part of the above-indicated wall. The inertial surfaces of the vertical part of the above-indicated wall. The inertial surfaces of the walls, except for the wall provided with the inclined platform, have blind perforation. The wall with the inclined platform is mounted for movement in the plane parallel to the vertical axis of the plasma reactor. EFFECT: enhanced mineral fiber production process. 1 dwg
