FIELD: manufacture of linoleum. SUBSTANCE: lamellar material includes flexible polymer layer based on polyvinylchloride and fibrous base. Fibrous base is made from asbestos board including the following components: 30 to 70 parts by mass asbestos fibers; 30 to 70 parts by mass vegetable fibers; 15 to 25 parts by mass synthetic rubber latex (per dry matter), 4 to 6 parts by mass coagulants, 5 to 7 parts by mass technical-grade lignosulfonates and 5,000 to 10,000 parts by mass water. Linoleum characteristics are as follows: abradability - 67 to 69 microns; absolute press-in deformability - 0.63 to 0.69 mm; absolute residual deformability - 0.20 to 0.28 mm; specific surface electric resistance - (3.3 to 5.0) (3,3-5,0)·1014Ohm ohms. EFFECT: moistened material remains intact after 2,000 test cycles; in-production and in-service shrinkage of linoleum is eliminated; noninflammability and longevity of linoleum is stepped up; net cost of linoleum is scaled down due to reduced rate of consumption of starting linoleum stock. 3 tbl
