FIELD: mining. SUBSTANCE: method consists in that collapsibility of beforehand drilled holes is determined by statistic relationship between collapsibility and geological-geophysical parameters, and complex index of outburst hazard is determined by formula given in invention description. If outburst complex index exceeds 0.7, seam intersection is considered outburst-prone, and if it is less than 0.7, seam intersection is considered not hazardous. Seam outburst hazard is determined by relation given in invention description. According to obtained results the seam may be considered not hazardous, low hazardous, medium hazardous and highly hazardous. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 tbl
