FIELD: measurement technology. SUBSTANCE: specklegram processing method involving transmission of continuous-wave laser beam through specklegram, display of Young's interference bands past specklegram, scanning of Young's bands by set of two slotted integrating photocells located on OY axis of rectangular Cartesian coordinate system OXY (linked with photocells) equally spaced on all sides from origin of coordinates, is distinguished by that scanning is made along OX axis of fixed Cartesian coordinate system OX1Y1 whose origin coincides with that of OXY coordinate system so that center of motor interference picture along OX1 axis, inclination angle α of photocells relative to fixed coordinate system OX1Y1 are varied after each scanning with desired pitch; inclination angle β of Young's bands relative to OY1 axis and Young's band period df are determined by analyzing character of electric signals coming from photocells, using one or more of following criteria: at α=β contrast and amplitude are at their maximum, time shift t between signal maxima equals zero, and Lissajous figure obtained when signal is supplied simultaneously from one photocell to X=input and from other one, to Y= input of recorder or oscilloscope is angular on top of lobes; Young's band period is determined at a=β.
