FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: haulm shredder has a horizontal shaft on which the first and second sections of blades for clearing the rows and inter-row spacings from haulm, respectively, are hinged to brackets. The cutting edges of the blades for clearing off the inter-row spacings are provided with spherical bearings installed at the places of connection of the blades with the hinge axle of the second section. With the machine moving and the shaft rotating, the blades of the first and second sections are positioned radially relative to the shaft. They cut and shred haulm. The extended blades cultivate the inter-row spacings and pass round the stones, if the latter get in their way, deflecting to any side from radial direction. EFFECT: more effective haulm removing and shredding process. 2 dwg
