FIELD: agricultural engineering. SUBSTANCE: haulm shredder comprises a horizontal shaft mounted under a protective housing and carrying alternating sections of working tools of different length for cleaning row spaces of haulm. Said working tools have the form of knives articulated to brackets by joints arranged parallel to the shaft. The knives are provided with additional joints whose axes are set square to the shaft and positioned between the joints which are parallel to the shaft and working tools.
