HIGH-PRESSURE BOTTLE AND METHOD OF ITS MANUFACTURE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: high-pressure bottles for storage and transportation of compressed, liquefied and dissolved gases. SUBSTANCE: bottle has housing whose neck is provided with inner stepped passage after which thread is made and shut-off device is fitted. Shut-off device consists of the following components arranged in succession: plate washer, diaphragm, slide block which are pressed to shoulder by the threaded bush. Shoulder may be provided with circular projection of triangular section. Method of manufacture of high-pressure bottle consists in producing thin-walled sleeve; at last stage of forming the sleeve, edge of its wall is given thickness t=t₁·K, where t₁ is thickness of housing neck wall and K=d/D is relationship of mean diameter of neck to mean diameter of the remaining portion of the housing. Then neck is formed with inner cylindrical passage, after which passage is restricted on side of conjugation of passage with remaining portion of housing by forming the journal on the neck and internal thread is cut after the shoulder. EFFECT: reduced usage of metal, enhanced reliability and facilitated manufacture. 3 cl, 7 dwg
