SUBSTANCE: this method prescribes advancing pin through calcaneus in frontal plane, two intersecting pins through I-II and III-IV-V metatarsal bones and further via distal segments, bending end portions of these pins forward at acute angles above surface of soft tissues, and then separately fixing ends of pins in external fixation apparatus. In case of affected metatarsal bone I, intersecting pins should be passed through shin distal metaphysis. EFFECT: recovery of foot vault and reduction of post-operative complications.
