FIELD: ultrasonic medical equipment; ultrasonic defectoscopy. SUBSTANCE: ultrasonic irradiator is mounted onto which the periodical high-frequency signal is applied and parameters of the irradiator being dependent on load are measured. Degree of acoustic detection is judged from changes of the parameters during process of influence. To measure parameters of irradiator, it is acted by measuring electric pulse which excites natural oscillations in the irradiator. Natural oscillations received signal is selected in time, then filtered and its envelope is separated. Amplitude and time parameters of envelope are compared with calibrated values of these parameters. EFFECT: improved truth of inspection. 2 cl, 6 dwg
