FIELD: study of physical properties of liquids by technical means of ultrasonic inspection. SUBSTANCE: procedure of acoustic measurement of density of liquids consists in transmission of acoustic signal from radiator through liquid. Time of passage of signal through liquid, amplitude of received signal and temperature of liquid are measured, value of density is found by measured values by formula. Device for implementation of this procedure includes dish on which opposite walls radiator and detector of acoustic signal are installed uniaxially, former of burst of pulses of specified frequency, signal amplifier, comparator, high-frequency precision pulse generator, pulse counter, peak detector, unit measuring amplitude, temperature-sensitive element, computer and unit of digital indication.
