FIELD: preparation of natural gas for transportation; purification of process gas in gas and petroleum industry. SUBSTANCE: absorber has horizontal body with gas inlet and outlet popes, inlet and outlet partitions with segment-shaped cuts positioned inside the body, bearing and distribution grating 6 sprinkler 11, separator, sectioning partitions, vertical side partitions 7 and 8. Between body of absorber and partitions 7 and 8 there are hermetically installed auxiliary horizontal partitions 9 and 10. Outlet partition has cuts for withdrawal of gas form mass exchange zone. EFFECT: enhanced individual capacity of absorber as a result of horizontal design of absorber operating with flooded headpiece providing the most effective operating condition of mass exchange in such type of apparatuses. 2 cl, 5 dwg
