SUBSTANCE: method includes precipitation, peptization by hydrochloric acid, peptization by silicotungstic acid, moulding, drying, roasting, impregnation with nitrate nickel aqueous solution. Suspension of vanadium oxide of pH = 1 - 4, and 0.5 to 5 mole per cent of (V₂O₃) p-ammonium molibdate, and 10 to 16 mole per cent of MoO₃ is added concurrently to the finished catalyst for the purpose of increasing isomerizing activity in relation to paraffin hydrocarbons and of increasing hydrogenation product viscosity index.
