FIELD: chemistry.

SUBSTANCE: catalyst comprises, wt %: 5.0-9.0 of nickel oxide, 18.0-24.0 of molybdenum oxide, 1.0-3.0 of phosphorus oxide and a carrier consisting of 62.2-70.5 of alumina, added from mesoporous aluminosilicate and aluminium hydroxide, and 1.8-5.5 of silica. The invention also relates to methods (versions) for catalyst preparation. According to the first version, 30-80 wt % of mesoporous aluminosilicate is mixed with addition of 17.7-55.5 wt % of alumina, with 20-70 wt % of aluminium hydroxide in the form of boehmite or pseudoboehmite, with addition of 15.0-44.5 wt % of alumina. The mixture is moistened, 3.7% solution of nitric acid is added, stirred until a homogeneous mass is obtained, triethylene is added in an amount of 0.03-0.09 ml/g, and stirred until a homogeneous mass is obtained. Granules are formed by extrusion, dried and calcined. The calcined carrier is impregnated with a combined solution of ammonium paramolybdate, phosphoric acid, nickel nitrate in a 20% solution of hydrogen peroxide at a component weight ratio ((NH4)6Mo7O24:H3PO4:Ni(NO3)2:H2O2=12.0:1:14.8:8.3-22.7:1:20.7:15.5, dried and calcined. EFFECT: increased catalytic activity in hydrodesulfurization and denitrogenation reactions occurring during vacuum gas oil hydrotreating, providing hydrotreated vacuum gas oil with a high degree of desulfurization and denitrogenation.
