FIELD: oil and gas industry.

SUBSTANCE: catalyst for high-temperature hydrofinishing of hydrotreated waxy diesel fractions contains, wt%: 6.0-18.0 nickel (in terms of NiO), 6.0-18.0 molybdenum (in terms of MoO3) or 6.0-18.0 tungsten (in terms of WO3) and 0.07-0.20 silicon oxide, aluminium oxide - balance. Catalyst is prepared by preparing a carrier based on aluminium oxide, involving moulding into granules by extrusion, wilting, drying and calcination. Carrier is impregnated with precursor solution of nickel, molybdenum or tungsten and silicon with subsequent drying and calcination. Alternatively precursor of molybdenum or tungsten and silicon is added during preparation of carrier based on aluminium oxide, and a precursor of nickel - during impregnation of calcined carrier with subsequent drying and calcination. Before application, catalyst is subjected to mandatory activation in a stream of hydrogen at temperature 450 °C for transfer of nickel, molybdenum or tungsten oxides into metal mould.

EFFECT: invention provides high activity of hydrofining catalyst at higher temperatures (300-380 °C) when using relatively low concentration of active metals.
