FIELD: nonferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: mother solution is heated to 70- 80 C, and aqueous NaOH /ammonia solution of sulfur is added thereto. Ammonia is removed from the resulting solution at 80 C such that residual content of it in such solution would be of 50-65 g/l. The precipitated residue containing copper and cobalt is separated from nickel solution by filtration followed by recovering nickel from the residue with ammonia-carbonate solution at 60-70 C at liquid-solid ratio of 1:15, with the concentration of ammonia and carbonate in the ammonia-carbonate solution being of 120 and 80 g/l, respectively. EFFECT: increased recovery yield. 1 cl, 3 tbl
