FIELD: starting marine small-sized diesel engines. SUBSTANCE: device has accumulator with springing member and piston, hydraulic motor with pressure pipe line provided with shut-off valve and return pipe line, overrunning clutch with drive and driven members mounted on shaft of hydraulic motor and kinematically linked with engine crankshaft, working fluid reservoir and piston hydraulic pump whose intake branch pipe is connected to working fluid reservoir and outlet branch pipe is brought in communication with hydraulic accumulator which is provided with one-way rod with arresting cotter pin rigidly connected with the piston. Springing member is made in form of stack of disk springs. Hollow shaft of hydraulic motor is made integral with drive member of clutch and is coaxially arranged on the crankshaft end, driven member of clutch being also mounted on it.
