MULTISAW MACHINE Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: woodworking industry. SUBSTANCE: multisaw machine for longitudinal sawing of logs has: sawing mechanism with set of saws on sawing shaft and drive, log feeding mechanism in the form of movable car with clamp and drive, mechanisms of logs turning and fixing, railed track in the form of mounted on sleepers supporting and guiding rails, auxiliary movable car with clamp, two U-shaped supports and two mounting posts. Mounting posts are stationary mounted in the middle of railed track on opposite sides. Sawing mechanism is set horizontally on mounting posts with capability to be regulated by height and fixed in required position. Two U-shaped supports are stationary mounted over railed track. Mechanisms of logs turning and fixing are mounted on two U-shaped supports. Clamp of each movable car is made as driving shaft with recess in the middle, right and left hand threadings on two halves and control wheel on one end of the shaft. Movable nuts with grips to press logs are set on threading of the shaft. Straps, capable to fix driving shaft across movable car in its middle, are mounted on recess of the shaft. Mechanism of log turning and fixation is made as support plate with centering device, removable shoes with fixing rope, guiding plates and winch. Drive of sawing mechanism is made as intermediate cardan shaft with single hinge type asynchronous couplings on its ends. Movable cars has two pairs of wheels, that are connected with platform by two frames. Platform has hole for centering device of supporting plate, transversal slits, in which grips of log clamp are moving, and holes for fixers of straps. Two resting on supporting rail wheels have inner rims. Another two wheels, that are resting on guiding rail, have recess with the form of upper part of the rail. EFFECT: multisaw machine is used to saw logs in stationary conditions and in the field. 5 cl, 10 dwg
