SUBSTANCE: method involves providing multiple folding of web made from fibrous material in longitudinal direction on processing folding line; embracing web in enclosing strip extending through guiding tube and connecting edges of strip by means of closing device; feeding web to pressing unit having pressing and smoothing roll pairs, which are spaced one from the other by 90 deg.; rolling web by pressing rolls arranged in stepped manner till ultimate section of absorbing product is obtained or till lesser cross-section is provided so that non-woven material cord is produced; crushing absorbing products on processing separation station by crushing rolls, with absorbing products being preliminarily formed at their front end; moving absorbing products to forming device, which is used to form products so that they have front ends with rounded apex and rear ends with hole, when absorbing product is used as hygienic tampon for women.
