FIELD: pulse technique. SUBSTANCE: serial delay slices are converted into numeric words up to maximum delay of n=4, 8, 16 within m operations, where m = log2n; word length is doubled within each operation and slicing frequency is made twice as low; reverse conversion is made by switching signals of separate word numbers with proportionally reduced conversion rates in transformed time scale.
