FIELD: TV. SUBSTANCE: method of color correction of picture signal involves formation of summary signal from signals of color picture, conversion of summary signal into digital code of chrominance signal. In this case parameters of optimum spectral characteristics for each coordinate from N sections of normalized color triangle are determined after formation of summary signal of color picture, digital codes of chrominance signals are replaced with digital codes of corrected chrominance signals. Device for color correction of picture signal has adder 1, two analog-to-digital converters 2, 3, color-analyzing matrix 4, matrix 5 of chrominance correctors three digital-to-analog converters 6, 7, 8, subtracter 9.
