FIELD: TV. SUBSTANCE: in accordance with method primary COLOR signals are formed in TV camera, then they are coded into three transmission signals. During coding signal of COLOR modulus is formed from primary COLOR signals in compliance with conversion and first and second chrominance signals and are isolated from signals of color modulus and primary color signals in agreement with following transformation , signal of color modulus is transmitted over wide-band communication channel and chrominance signals are sent over narrow-band channels. Primary color signals are reconstructed during decoding in accord with following transformations: . If color modulus remains constant and only chrominance signals change then this change occurs in narrower frequency band. As in this case only chrominance of signals change and man's system of vision discriminates change of chrominance of small details much worse, then loss of definition with transmission of chrominance signals over narrow-band channels will be substantially less. EFFECT: increased quality of representation of TV picture in case of transmission of color signals over communication channels. 1 dwg
