FIELD: medicine; ophthalmologic surgery. SUBSTANCE: method involves cutting peripheral pocket 2 on recipient's cornea 1, placing transplant 3 on cornea 1, puncturing the edge 4 to penetrate into pocket 2. Then the needle is driven obliquely into edge of transplant 3 and thread 5 is passed between layers along an arc with the apex towards the transplant center. After withdrawal of the needle from transplant 3, margin 4 is punctured from inside of pocket 2 to outside. Then thread 5 is passed externally over the edge of margin 4 and the needle is driven into margin 4 to penetrate into pocket 2, etc. EFFECT: more reliable fixing, adjusting optical zone of transplant, and abatement of corneal syndrome. 2 cl, 3 dwg
