FIELD: manufacturing of gas-discharge tubes. SUBSTANCE: effectuating connection of ceramic or QUARTZ tube with metal part provided with sleeve by heating sleeve end and press-fitting tube into sleeve end; applying a layer of plastic metal to at least inner surface of sleeve or to outer surface of tube, with tube end being preliminarily expanded to provide outer diameter exceeding inner diameter of sleeve; upon press-fitting of tube into sleeve, strengthening sleeve material by dispersion curing or hardening. In case hardening is effectuated, press-fitting is conducted at hardening temperature. EFFECT: increased efficiency in producing vacuum-tight connections with increased thermal stability and thermal-mechanical endurance. 3 cl, 2 dwg
