FIELD: plastic metal working, possibly manufacture of wide assortment of pistons of internal combustion engines for motor vehicle and caterpillar type transport vehicles, aircrafts, sea and river ships. SUBSTANCE: method comprises steps of forming blank of aluminum alloy with structure including strengthening particles and subsequent heat treatment. Blank is formed of aluminum alloy containing 25-60 vol% of strengthening particles with mean size less than 15 square micrometers at temperature consisting 0.8-0.98 of Tmelt at rate 5•10-2 - 5•10-5 c-1 in usual mode or in superductile mode at least during one transition. Method allows to make pistons of Silumin with wide range of mechanical properties in dependence upon initial structure and structure provided after deformation. EFFECT: enlarged manufacturing possibilities of method. 41 cl, 6 dwg
