FIELD: indirect automatic welding. SUBSTANCE: device has casing with longitudinal slot, where a layer of rubber and metal cable for biasing forming members are located. Forming members are made in the form of two movable copper plates extending beyond casing outline. Forming plates and cable are connected one to the other by triangular brackets disposed in spaced relation along the length of device. Width of forming members is determined from ratio recited in Specifications. EFFECT: simplified construction and enhanced reliability in operation. 2 dwg
