GLASS PRODUCT MANUFACTURING METHOD Russian patent published in 1994 - IPC

FIELD: production of pressed and blown products from glass, in particular, production of wide- throat glassware. SUBSTANCE: method involves pressing in rough mold to form throat; withdrawal of billet from rough mold and transferring billet into final mold at position axially aligned with vertical axis of motion of throat billet, pressing punch and billet, with alternating changing of rough empty mold for final empty mold being effectuated, when billet is in fixed upper vertical position in throat mold and punch is axially aligned with mold change position. Changing of final mold with billet for rough mold with a portion of glass mass is effectuated, when empty throat mold and punch are in fixed vertical upper position in axial alignment with mold change position. Punch is separated from billet upon fixing billet in its upper position in throat mold. Vacuumizing is effectuated starting from the moment billet is placed into final mold and finished before completion of blowing process. Withdrawal of billet from rough mold is initiated the moment the billet is moved (lowered) into final mold from fixed upper position. EFFECT: high-quality glass products. 5 cl, 6 dwg
