FIELD: glass industry.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to manufacturing of hollow glass products, in particular glass products with a narrow neck, and can be used in the glass industry for the production of glass containers. A method for forming a rough blank with the neck down for manufacturing a narrow-necked glass product, a method for forming a finished blank for manufacturing a narrow-necked glass product, and a method for manufacturing a narrow-necked glass product are claimed. To form a rough blank, a drop of hot glass is fed into a closed detachable draft mould, positioned with the neck down, and the diameter of the hot glass drop is 47–52 mm. A plunger is used to press a draft workpiece from a drop of hot glass in a closed detachable draft form, and the volume of the cavity formed in the drop of hot glass by the plunger is 15–40% of the volume of the draft form. A closed detachable draft form is opened, positioned with the neck down. The formed rough blank is placed rotated 180° in detachable finishing mould. The finishing blank is blown out of the rough blank during its cooling in a closed detachable finishing mould. The volume of a hot glass drop is 10–20% of the volume of the finishing mould, and the volume of the draft mould is 15–25% of the volume of the finishing mould.

EFFECT: reduction of the weight of a narrow-necked glass product by 10–15% while maintaining its strength.
