FIELD: production of coal fuel cells. SUBSTANCE: process of manufacture of coal fuel cells with longitudinal depression filled with ignition compound involves separate feed of fuel mixture containing coal under pressure into forming hole of extrusion head, formation of billets in the form of open ring in cross-section from fuel mixture, separate feed of ignition compound into break of ring billet and subsequent formation of fuel cell with longitudinal depression filled with ignition compound. Fuel cell is continuously marked in zone of location of ignition compound in it. Device for realization of process of manufacture has body with screw, hopper to feed fuel mixture and means to supply ignition compound under pressure mounted after screw and extrusion head with forming hole. Extrusion head is provided with central rod with flat jumper to form fuel billet in the form of open ring in cross-section anchored in forming hole. Means to supply ignition compound is fabricated in the form of hopper with screw coupled to extrusion head with the aid of conduit located in plane of jumper outside of body. Thickness of jumper is equal to width of conduit. Length of rod and forming hole is greater than length of jumper and conduit. Marker for continuous marking of fuel cell in zone of location of ignition compound in it is installed after extrusion head.
