FIELD: biotechnology. SUBSTANCE: transgenic cotton plants are obtained as a result of interaction of cultured cotton cells with Agrobacterium tumefaciens bacterial race containing recombinant plasmid DNA with a chimeric gene to code crystalline protein of δ-endotoxine Bacillus thuringiensis, promoter, 5 and 3 non-translated areas and another gene of resistance to antibiotic agents. The transformed cells are incubated, callus is cultured in special medium, the transformed embryogenic callus is removed, and the suspension is filtered for isolation of embryogenic callus sized 600 microns for subsequent production of regenerates. EFFECT: simpler and more efficient method. 25 dwg
