FIELD: construction of motor road pavements. SUBSTANCE: asphalt spreader comprises loading hopper, feeders 2, spreading augers 3, compacting mechanism, all these elements being mounted on wheeled chassis with engine 6, pumping plant 26, pumps 21,22 of feeders 2 and spreading augers 3, pumps 19,20 of travelling motion and gear mechanism 7 for driving of axle 8. Said gear mechanism at the axle input is of planetary type with crown wheel whose outer gear rim meshes with gear installed on additional hydraulic motor 12 hydraulically connected with adjustable-delivery pressure source and communicating through hydraulic control valve with pump 21 of feeders 2 and spreading augers 3.
