FIELD: training aids. SUBSTANCE: installation has the investigated rotor consisting of a shaft and dicks in the middle and on the cantilever and fixed on two supports, a parameter measurement system and a recording system )a mirror-galvanometer oscillograph). One of the supports has changeable rigidity. The rotor is brought into rotation by an electric motor. The frequency of the rotor natural oscillations is determined with the following methods: by the static sagging of the rotor by means of its charging with the static force in the cross-sectional direction; by the excitation of the natural oscillations with a blow; visually by the tachometer and by the results of the oscillogram processing. The influence of the precessional motion is demonstrated by creating a gyroscopic moment on the rotor with the aid of the cantilevered fixed disks. The proposed educational installation allows to consolidate the studied material through a series of simple obvious experiments. EFFECT: enhanced modes of the rotor rotation by means of the demonstration of the relationship of the critical turn-overs with the frequency of natural lateral oscillations, with the shaft bending rigidity as well as by means of demonstration of the influence of the support as well as by means of demonstration of the influence of the support rigidity and the rotor precessional motion on their value. 3 dwg
