FIELD: manufacturing of rolled products. SUBSTANCE: method involves reducing metal by rolls to obtain underrolled product, which is produced by reducing at gripping angle corresponding to the angle of friction with the length of deformed part being equal to 1.5-2.0 of deformation zone length. Then additional reducing with the value equal to 0.6 of initial reducing value is effectuated. Ingot is rolled for the whole length at reduced end side with the value equal to total reducing value. EFFECT: increased efficiency and high quality of rolled product. 1 dwg
