FIELD: non- ferrous metallurgy. SUBSTANCE: refining agent frothed with gas is suggested to be fed under refined metal melt. Region of melt metal adjacent to region of refining agent feeding is displaced with the froth. Froth pressure is increased up to the value enabling gas bubbling. Either refining metal melt, or melt of haloid salts of alkali and alkaline-earth metals are used as refining agents. The method allows one to purify metal down to 0,06cm3/100g of hydrogen, 0.0001 per cent of sodium by weight, 0.0001 per cent of non- metal impurities by weight. EFFECT: metal of high purity. 3 cl, 1 tbl
