FIELD: engine engineering. SUBSTANCE: crankshaft has crank webs provided with hollows. The hollows are arranged symmetrically with respect to the vertical longitudinal middle plane and opposite to each other within outer contour in the clear of the webs of the crank. Parts located in zone of the hollows have U-shaped cross- section of the profile with side webs. A stiffener is positioned between the hollows of crank webs, which are arranged one above another, in the zone of overlapping of crank pins and crank journals. EFFECT: improved design. 9 cl, 5 dwg
