FIELD: machine engineering.
SUBSTANCE: crankshaft shoulder (9) adjacent to the crankpins (4) on the adjacent jaws (3) are treated by turning with a turning tool (14). The crankshaft rotates around the axis (22) of rotation and clamping, on which the centric longitudinal axis of the crankshaft also formed by the centric root collar (2). As a consequence, the crankpins (4) rotate in a circular path around the axis (22) of rotation and clamping with their geometric axis (6). The turning tool (14) "watches" the moving crankpins (4) along the height and side in two perpendicular directions (32, 36) of the movement. This results in a continuous insertion of the turning tool (14) laterally into the shoulder (9) of the crankpin (4).
EFFECT: improving the crankshaft turning accuracy.
