FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: hydraulic damper consists of case and piston with a rod. The piston is received in the case and separates the case into two spaces. The piston can be spring-loaded with springs in the axial direction. The case is filled with fluid. The spaces are in communication with each other through passages directed toward each other and ring groove made on inner surface of the case. When the piston is in neutral position the passages are in communication with each other through the ring groove of the case in periphery direction. The passages directed toward each other is provided on outer surface of the piston. The passages are made up of two rows of passages with each passage of one of the rows being interposed between two rows of the other row on outer surface of the piston in its center zone. Each row of the passages includes at least two uniformly arranged passages. The heights of the passages vary over the length in radial direction from zero to maximum. Maximum cross-section of the passages are at the opposite faces of the piston. EFFECT: improved design. 5 dwg
