FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: shock-absorber has case having lateral groove on its inner cylindrical surface. A plunger, which has a groove on its cylindrical surface, is received in the case space. The groove is made up of a screw cutting. Points of edges of the screw cutting are mated over periphery with points of edges of face of the lateral groove when plunger is in motion. The screw cutting has varying cross-section over the length. The screw cutting connects the case space with the lateral groove and form a throttle slot together with the face of the groove. The cross-section of the slot decreases with plunger stroke. EFFECT: enhanced shock-absorbing. 3 dwg
