SUBSTANCE: method includes exposure of diffuser to coherent wave, recording of Fourier-transform hologram of diffuser with the aid of controlled object with predetermined value f of focal distance by matching of objective wave and coherent reference wave on light-sensitive medium, shift of diffuser in plane of its positioning and change of incidence angle of reference wave, repeat recording of Fourier-transform hologram and registration of interferogram of check of wave aberrations with performance of spatial filtering in plane of hologram. Specified exposure of diffuser to coherent radiation is conducted by way of preliminary transition radiation through additional diffuser placed at distance L = l21
