FIELD: diagnostics of electric machines. SUBSTANCE: apparatus for quality control of encapsulated rotors has an inductive magnetic field pickup, supplied by an alternative current power source. Two current pickups are connected with power supply circuit; these pickups are included in two units for measuring difference signal; each unit also has voltage amplifiers, half-period rectifiers. smoothing filters, tuned for a frequency of the alternative current power source, potentiometers, comparators. The second unit for measuring the above mentioned difference signal has in addition a smoothing filter, tuned for a frequency of rotor rod, passing over the magnetic field pickup. An indicator displays the difference signal. That allows to detect easily a defect rod and to determine a degree of its defectiveness.
