FIELD: electric machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: salient pole 1 of electric machine with fluid cooling has core 2 and shoe 3 with damping bars 4 dropped in slots and excitation coil 9 with solid conductors 10 insulated from core 2 with moulded dielectric 15 and registered with washer 14. Coolers 17 made of ferromagnetic corrosion-resistant steel are placed in slots over perimeter of core 2, coolers 18 and 19 of ferromagnetic corrosion-resistant steel are located in slots over perimeter of shoe 3. Service or running water or ferromagnetic fluid circulate through coolers as cooling agent. Cooling of coil 9 is accomplished through dielectric 15 and of shoes 3 and damping bars 4 through steel of pole 1 by means of coolers 17, 18, 19 anchored in slots by welding 20.
