FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: the gear shaper allows gears to be shaped on a radius; a half of the gear width is obtained with convex teeth, and the other half - with concave (saddle-shaped) teeth. The necessary movement are imparted to the tool by additional kinematic chains which, while acting on the cams, act on the cutting tools (gear-shaping cutters), which execute the main wobbling motion about the curvature axis. All kinematic chains have adjusting quadrants. EFFECT: improved design. 4 dwg
