FIELD: machine tool manufacture. SUBSTANCE: gear shaper has a bed on which a table used for fastening a machinable wheel is located, the table is connected to a rolling chain with a gear-shaping head. The table has a hollow spindle, two gear cutters mounted on it which are made in the form of a body with radial slots and movable cutting evolvent teeth located in the slots. A hollow transfer bar is located in the hollow spindle. Two cams engageable with cutting teeth and two kinematic chains are connected to the transfer bar, the kinematic chains have a setting link and are connected to the bed drive. The head is mounted for cutting movement by a drive which has a crank-and-link mechanism, the link is mounted for rocking. Working sections on the cams are made in the form of conical surfaces and the cams are mounted for antiphase operation. EFFECT: improved structure. 4 dwg
