FIELD: automotive industry; suspensions of automotive vehicles. SUBSTANCE: novelty is installation of additional pistons spring- loaded relative to body between inner surface of body and outer surface of cylinder for engagement and for overlapping of through radial holes made on cylinder in rod and rodless spaces and side of upper and lower covers, respectively; common space of additional pistons can communicate through distributing valve with pressure source and liquid feed source, and piston spaces, at side of upper and lower covers, communicate with each other and with liquid feed source. When vehicle operates at plowing or with bulldozer and other mounted implements, distributing valve is set in position at which hydraulic shock absorbers are placed in communication with pressure source. Working liquid passes into common space of additional pistons under pressure through distributing valve and pipeline and, overcoming resistance of compression springs, shifts pistons in opposite sides to stop against surfaces of upper and lower covers, respectively. Additional pistons force working liquid out of space between piston and upper cover and out of space between piston and lower cover along pipelines into liquid feed source. Simultaneously, additional pistons overlap the holes cutting off working liquid flow into rod and rodless spaces of cylinder. High resistance of hydraulic shock absorbers provides operation of vehicle with rigid suspension. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 3 dwg
