FIELD: glazing of transport facilities. SUBSTANCE: method for production of multilayer articles includes strengthening the silicate plates up to 50-150 kg/sq.mm, application to them of adhesive protective layer 0.5-50 mcm thick. Plates are cemented in autoclave into multilayer block. Thickness of inner plates is selected to be equal to 0.2-1 thickness of rear plates. Glass plates are subjected to heat strengthening up to 1.5-4 pore/cm and subsequent chemical pickling in solution of HF to a depth of 20-200 mcm. Strengthening of inner plates is effected in melt of KNO3 with catalytic additive of antimony ions at 400-465 C for 1-2 h, and outer plates are strengthened for 20-150 h. Cemented to last plate is protective plate from oriented polymethyl methacrylate or polycarbonate 1-12 mm thick. Shock-resistant articles possess higher dynamic strength by 30-100%. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 4 cl
