FIELD: metallurgy, machine engineering. SUBSTANCE: steel has components at the following ratio, wt.-%: carbon 0.9-1.1; manganese 10.0-12.5; chrome 0.95-1.25; silicon 0.2-0.6; aluminium 0.05-0.10; calcium 0.001-0.006; rare-earth metals 0.085-0.20, and iron - the rest. Ratio between manganese and chrome is set by the following equation: 8≅ Mn/Cr ≅ 13, and ratio between carbon and manganese - by the equation: 10 x %C + %Mn = 19-23.5. Steel can contain impurities: , wt. -%: sulfur less than 0.03; phosphorus less than 0.08, and trace of molybdenum, niobium, vanadium, nitrogen and antimony also. EFFECT: enhanced impact strength and wear resistance. 2 tbl
