FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to austenitic metastable steels, and can be used for making articles operating under conditions of intense abrasive action or subjected to considerable impact loads, including for production of mining and crushing equipment, buckets of excavators, tracks of caterpillar machines, augers, beating hammer crushers, parts of excavating and tillage machines. Steel contains, wt%: carbon 0.03–0.10, silicon 0.15–0.50, manganese 3.50–4.0, chrome 11.50–12.50, nickel 2.80–3.50, nitrogen 0.10–0.25, vanadium 0.30–0.35, titanium 0.01–0.025, cerium 0.005–0.025, calcium 0.005–0.02, molybdenum 0.35–0.45, aluminum 0.008–0.05, barium 0.005–0.02, iron and impurities – the rest. Steel can additionally contain niobium 0.01–0.10 wt% and / or zirconium 0.05–0.10 wt%, and as unavoidable sulfur impurities not more than 0.015 wt% and phosphorus not more than 0.015 wt%.
EFFECT: improved strength characteristics and wear resistance of steel.
