FIELD: insect pest control. SUBSTANCE: device has dielectric plat 1 with conducting strips 2 and 3. Strips 4 between these strips are made of some dielectric material. The width of the conducting strips and width of strips 4 are determined by the maximum and minimum distances between the front and rear legs of insects to be killed. Conducting strips 2 are connected to terminal 5. Conducting strips 3 are connected to terminal 6 of power source 7. Plate 1 is mounted in the casing at an angle so touches the casing only with its support line 14. A container for bait is mounted in the upper part of plate 1. The casing has holes to let insects crawl in, and it also has holes for removal of killed insects. As the insects want to reach the bait, they crawl into the casing and move on plate 1. They are killed as their front and rear legs touch strips 2 and 3 connected to terminals 5 and 6 of power source 7. The killed insects roll down on plate 1 out of the casing by gravity. EFFECT: higher reliability and efficiency in operation. 2 dwg
